I love reading the stories here about the 68#, 123# etc loss. My story is far less exciting right now as I have just started my journey. The quote above reminds me that we are all winners - and maybe it hasn't shown up in the scale yet, but I'm sure we have all made changes this year that will define our collective and individual success.
My actions to celebrate include:
I used to… but now I am successful because I...
- Eat McDonalds in my car and then go home for dinner.... now I don't even stop there.
- Stop at Starbucks for "a Latte" and 2-3 pastries...now I just get tea.
- Buy candybars at the check out and stach them around the house... now I don't eat candy at all
- make excuses to not excercise... Now I'm out there 6 days a week
- Ask my kids to go up or down stairs for me (because it was too trying for me)... now I get up off the couch myself
- Bake treats almost everyday...now I bake 3xweek, use sugar substitutes, and moderate portion control to a taste.
- Lie about what I ate...now I log every day, honestly and completely
What are your successes this year??
