Yay, I got one too. I'm curious to know how accurate I've been with my guessing!

I've been semi-accurate. But I increased my calorie intake to align with MFP and have measured everything. I'm actually seeing some success with that!
  • I was just thinking I'd like to get one too. Do you mind telling me where you got yours?

Oh nice! They are great. Anything that needs to be weighed instead of measured in a cup or spoon, the food scale is nice for. Examples: meat, veggies, fruits after you cut/peel/etc.

Love my food scale, use it every single day. I am a firm believer in knowing "for sure" what my calories in and out are. If you don't have a HRM for exercise calories, you may want to add that next.
  • I got one for christmas!! I'm so excited!! I was never sure about the calories on fruit and meat.

    To commenter:
Its a biggest loser one. It was on sale at bed bath and beyond for 15$.
It's really nice. it has a glass plate. You can weigh in grams or ounces. You can put a bowl or plate on it then Zero it out and put your food on it to weigh it. So you don't have to figure out how much your bowl weighs lol

I got one, too! The good news is that I was WAY underestimating everything! My servings were all much smaller than I was guessing them to be. Yay for more food. :-)

I got one for Christmas & I LOVE it!

It's crazy, but I've actually been under-estimating all my foods! oops

I'm all for more food on my plate, though

Everyone needs a food scale and a hrm....sorry at first I didn't realize this and refused to spend money that I would've spent on other things probably not needed....but no more guessing and as first I wasn't losing weight now I realized why....my calories in were wrong and my calories burnt we also wrong......

I have one and love it.....measure my meats, fruit, nuts, and chips ( if I feel like eating them ). My scale also has a Tare which if you are using a bowl you zero out the bowl and it just measures your food, this is a good feature

I'd be a disaster without mine I am terrible at estimating portions, especially with pasta I was having 2-3 times what the package says a serving should be!!

I bought one for myself for Christmas too - digital and was only $12!
Now that I have that and my HRM I feel like everything is so much more accurate :)

I've been using a spring food scale for a while, and I'm so excited to finally have a digital one. It's the simple glass plate one from walmart, but really fabulous. I love that I can zero it out with the plate!
