Scale going down too fast?!?!

Hey all! I am a bit confused/worried. Monday morning my scale said 188, Tuesday 187, and today 186!! (yes, i know I shouldn't step on the scale everyday). I am confused because I am eating ALL of my calories, give or take about 25, I am drinking my water...it just doesn't seem that the scale should be moving THAT fast, right?!? Is there any reason why it would be doing that, or am I just over analyzing it? TIA!!

It's probably just water weight gained over the holidays. If it continues, worry. If it stops, don't worry.
  • It definately could be water weight. In Biggest Loser shows, people normally lose the most on the first week, then it starts to get slower.

Thanks, but I didn't gain ANY weight over the holidays..at least the scale didn't show it...and I'm on pound 15, been going since the week of Thankgiving, so I think I'm past the point where it's fast, and then slows down. Shouldn't I be?

Yeah just in water and internal junk you can loose 2-5 pounds in a single day easily! But it's not 'real' weight, it's just built up stuff in your system. But along with it you could be loosing some real weight to if your doing all your stuff right :) So it is defiantly a good sign! When they say only loose 2 a week they mean actual weight/fat.

Keep drinking water and eating good!

Yes, but your weight can fluctuate by 1 or 2 pounds from morning to afternoon. I would definitely consult a doctor if it continues, or perhaps check the batteries in your scale first. But I wouldn't worry about 2 days.

i do that too. your body isnt a machine that loses at a steady pace. sometimes if you drink more water or eat differently it says, hey i dont need all this fat in here so lets get rid of it! then dumps a bunch right in a row. took me a month and a half to lose 8 lbs then in the past wk have lost 4 go figure

Just rejoice and be glad!! I know that my body goes for about 2 weeks where I mess around at the same weight plus or minus a couple tenths of a pound and then on the third week I see a big drop. Thankfully this has been my third week and the scale has me down 2.8lbs since Monday. I bet if you go back and check your progress you may begin to see a pattern to your losses.

This is the reason you arent supposed to look at it every day....your weight can fluctuate anywhere from 1-6 pounds every day.

If you wake up tomorrow and are at +3 pounds, dont freak out.Stop looking every day, and thats why
