Low Cholesterol diet for lunch

Hi all -
My doctor recently put me on a low cholesterol diet. I pretty much know the jist what to eat/what not to eat, but lunch is hard for me.
I'm thinking I'll try to stick to salads, but I need some substance in my salads to satisfy me. I have to stear clear of the diced ham and diced turkey, because they both are iffy at the salad bar. Any suggestions on other protein toppings? The bar I go to doesn't have grilled chicken (which I would still be skeptical of). If I made my own chicken at home, how should I prepare it?
Thank you!

Well personally I liked grilled chicken breast on my salad but you have to make sure it wasnt cooked in any oils. Or you could do tuna.
I am not a master at making salads but i thought I'd share my lunch ideas with you. I ususally have a peanut butter sandwich on low calorie whole wheat bread (2 slices) and then I have low fat yogurt, a pickle, and a small piece of fruit or veggies. Sometimes to have something different I'll do a tuna sandwich with mustard. None of that food seems to be high in cholestrol...
I dunno, I'd think that salads would get really boring after a while but thats just me. Everyone is different. Good Luck!0 -

Thank you for sharing your lunch ideas! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE a PB sandwhich, but I've yet to find a low fat, low cholesterol peanut butter option. You're right, salad's do get boring fast. I like I'll look into the tuna sandwhich idea.0 -
