At least 25 grams per day for an adult is recommended.

Some days I will eat 40-50. Just make sure you break yourself in gradually or you will be spending a lot of time in the bathroom!

    hello

25 grams is about right !

Too, much fiber can cause problems. Eating more than 50-60 grams of fiber a day can interfere with nutrient absorption and cause digestive problems.

It's best to increase your fiber intake slowly over time. Be sure to drink plenty of water as you do.

    take care !!

You can see what MFP has daily for your goal if you add it to your food log....

Go to My Home, Settings, Food Diary Settings, Add Fiber as one that you list

I have it showing on mine....when I first added it I couldn't believe how much lower I was on fiber than I should be.....

15 is way, way too low. In fact the FDA minimum reccomended is 17g per day. I usually get between 30-50g a day. But as mentioned above, up your intake slowly. It will cause cramps, gas, and many trips to the bathroom otherwise... so take it slow.
