Lossing Weight has always been a struggle for me. I go up and down, but this I'm determined to get it off and keep it. I get very frustrated at times when i work so hard and to me don't see any results.

Testify sister - been there, done that, have a large collection of T-shirts.

This time it will be different. This is the place where you have the tools and the encouragement that will help you make the changes you need to make to be healthy and well. This is a program that can really work. This is a reasonable lifestyle that will make you better without making your life miserable.

I'm working hard, feeling better than I've felt in 20 years, losing 2 pounds a week and loving it. You can do it too.

Just use the tools here. Honestly log what you eat - get some exercise and honestly log your exercise -and stay within your calorie budget. When you get hungry snack on fresh fruit instead of that other crap, and drink your water. That's it - that's all you have to do.

You have to have realistic expectations. You can't eat one slice of cantaloupe in place of your usual caramel sundae and then expect to be down a pound,,, but as long as you can stay with it and take the long point of view you will make progress and do fine. I've gotten stuck a couple times - the dang scale seemed jammed @ 233 pounds forever,,, but I look back at that time now and I'm at 226 and I barely remember it.

This is it - you can be any size you want to be, and this site and these people can help. Welcome :drinker:

This is the place that puts it all together. Not just the food diary and tracking things, the automatic calorie deficit, but there's a lot of wisdom on the forum from people who have BTDT. My advice is to read the stickies in the forums and it will put you ahead of the game as you do.

I have learned, since joining this site last Jan, why I have failed every other time in my life to lose weight and keep it off. I have learned to expect plateaus and how to avoid them or keep them to a minimum. I have learned that I am changing my lifestyle and my eating habits, this is not a diet. I have learned that you can be really big and still gain weight if you barely eat anything, and that eating more healthy food will actually help you lose weight. It's not about starvation, it's about proper nutrition and portion control. I do not deprive myself of anything but you know, those french fries are not worth the hour at the gym to work off the calories, so I don't eat them anymore. I've learned that if you also weight train while you are exercising and trying to lose weight, you will change youre metabolism and will burn more body fat while preserving muscle. All this and more, from this one little free website. Very cool.

Lossing weight is a battle but doing it with friends has been very refreshing. I enjoy working out now. I'm addicted to it. Now I think I have hit the wall because I have lost any but people say I have lost inches. I feel good. :):flowerforyou:
