I am sitting here trying not to think of food and going through websites in hopes to get excited about fun races this year. I am in Northern California and over Halloween weekend I did a mudrace. Just looking for simple fun races like that. What do you have planned?

Nothing fun so far...but I do have a race planned in Medford, OR for mid-April...10 miles! I hope I can do it. I'm up to almost 6 miles now. I hope to find some fun races before then, too!0

Warrior Dash and Commando Run are both the mud run/obstacle course type races. I've heard of Survivor, fairly certain Warrior Dash is comparable. Commando Run is a little more hard core. It has 20+ obstacles as opposed to the typical 10-12 seen in Warrior Dash/HellRun/SpartanSprint0 -
doing a 5k in either March or April
New England Warrior Dash in June

Thinking about a 5K since I have never competed before. Does it matter if you can't run the whole way? Is it OK to walk or jog part of the way?0

Looking for some 5ks for the Spring still . I'm a little tired now from reading that lol0 -

I NEED to do the Run For Your Lives in Pittsburgh. I'm also hoping to choose a Warrior Dash somewhere. For a guy who used to love nothing more than spending the entire day on my couch watching tv I can't believe I'm excited to enter 5Ks!0

Heck yeah!! I did my first 5k (since my spinal cord surgery in 2010) in 2011. I simply cannot wait to do more in 2012!!
