Beyonce is in labor!!??

so let's chit chat about this for a moment, why am I seeing on the news that beyonce is in labor? when did her unborn child become more important than the issues of this world??? congrats to her and her hubby for having a new baby or a new baby on the way but serioulsy, I can't recall the news ever stopping to announce the birth of any other child... I'm confused. My son was born and I don't even think the hospital announced it so why should they get any special treatment? a baby is a blessing- yes, but lets get serious.. news headline? hmmm

    People are excited about the prospect of new life. Its human nature. And a lot of people feel like the 'know' celebrities. Its a very odd kind of intimacy. I don't think its going to trump any political news when and if she gives birth. But its still entertainment news. If no one were interested then US Magazine wouldnt be plastered all over the check-out lines of the grocery stores.

    Back to that weird level of intimacy. My mom is the president of a large very public organization. Its weird how we are at events and people who have NEVER met her call her by her first name and want to take pictures with her, ask her about her grandchildren by name. Its freaking bizarre.

    Mentioning it that way I can understand it, I can see why they would annouce it but maybe after the baby was born, not to just interrupt tv and add it in with breaking news/headline news you know. I sitll think they both are amazing artists but for my local news to bust it out like someone just won ten billion dollars and is giving everyone a cut just threw me off haha

    It didn't. What legitimate news source has placed this story with more importance than real news? Been reading news all morning, from legitimate sources. Not one reference to this. Not one. This post is doing more to publicize the event than the legitimate news outlets.
    I'm confused. My son was born and I don't even think the hospital announced it so why should they get any special treatment?

    Wow read my posts it says my local news and yes actually on the web also. If i had cable i would watch some of the bigger news channels instead if the local ones. Why post just to be rude? Its not necessary to dis the birth of my child. Keep your flowers and shove them. You are soooo rude!

    You posed two questions, and I provided two honest and respectful responses.

    Were you honestly expecting press coverage for your child's birth? I love my kid to pieces, but understand that her birth was of little to no import to the majority of the world, and did not merit press coverage.

    HAH when my husband was deployed we always talked about celebrity gossip. He was more into it than I was. If the misery in life is all you think about you will go insane.
    Note he also had an xbox and I would send him games and Game Informer magazine with all of my care packages.

    Well, i went to the gym everyday this week and sometimes twice a day. I watch CNN and local news channel and I didnt know beyonce was pregnant. Maybe you are watching the wrong channel for real news??

    I love Beyonce by the way, so i would notice it if it came on the news. Ive been hearing about North korea mourning, Iowa debates, and syria and gun shootings in chicago, seriously what news channel are you watching?
