Hello all
I am Julie, 29 years old from the UK with 25lb to lose
I was guided here by a fellow tweeter after she read how I am in dispair with my diet. I am desperate to lose weight and live a healthier life but with a husband that adores all food that is bad it is very hard to stay on tack! I have been doing exercise for the last 6 months and although I have seen a difference in inches the lbs just wont move and so that is why I am here, for all of your help, guidance and support :-)

Hi there! I'm new to mfp as well and also looking for support. I am 26 from the US, AZ. I have about 30 lbs to go. My cousin told me about mfp and I'm very excited to make things happen.0

Hi Julie, I too live with a man that eats a lot of junk food, processed food, etc. You can still have healthy choices & not eat what he eats. I try to eat a lot of salads, whole foods, etc. There is an occasional snack and wine, but for the most part I think my diet is pretty healthy and easy to follow. For instance he loves shake N' Bake pork chops, so I buy the boneless tenderloin, shake N' bake his and just bake mine, grill or broil it. He eats the packaged rice & corn, & I have a fresh salad or steamed veggies. I open my diet for my friends to see that way I can get advise and they can see what I'm eating as I lose weight. I welcome you to be my friend. None of us are perfect, but we're all in this together. Gail0

Hi girls thank you for your replies. It is nice to know I am not in this alone. I think following someones food diary is deffinately where I need to start and then hopefully it will become second nature to cook healthy meals the whole family can enjoy rather then spending hours looking for healthy alternative recipes and cooking 2 seperate meals, one for me and the kids and the other for the hubby's junk fix :-)0

Hello ladies! Welcome to MFP...I'm new here as well.
I'm 32, from TX, FT admin secretary. I have high blood pressure, high cholesterol and a family history of heart disease. I'm looking forward to making new buddies/friends to support as well as receive support to drop 100lbs.0 -
Hey girls I am also new to mfp, a friend turned me onto it and I am really liking what I see so far. I have been more aware of what I am eating and how it is being cooked. I was raised in the midwest and it was nothing but meat and potatoes, fried chicken you name we made and o lord the baking!! My husband has some health issues that requires him to eat healthy, he wanted to do the whole "make two" seperate meals thing. That can get expensive and unrealistic since we have children too. But in order to lose the weight and maintain it, it is a life change and I want the whole family involved as well as meeting people on here that can give me pointers and I can help support as well.0

so glad I am not in this alone! I was a bit worried about posting on here with not knowing anyone, but I guess we all have one big thing in common. Please feel free to add me as a friend and hopefully we can all support each other on our journey to goal weight0
