Just joined and already losing weight?

Hi Everybody!
I just joined on Monday (12/26) and don't have much to lose. My CW was 126.8 and my GW is 115. I am only 5'1 3/4". I weighed myself today and I weighed 122 lbs. I'm scheduled to eat 1200 calories and have mostly been doing that. Today has been my worst (I allowed myself some red wine as a treat:)) and I'm still way under what I would typically eat prior to MFP. I'm pretty sure my food and exercise diary is public.
Do you think think I am losing weight too quickly? Should I up my calories? I am small boned and short-- I don't feel famished with the 1200 calories. Could it just be water weight? I do feel lighter and my clothes are fitting better--

A lot of times in the beginning of a change in diet you'll experience a loss of water weight. If you feel hungry then you could probably up your calories some but I have to say that considering the low number (1200 is as low as MFP lets you go) your diary looks good to me. The trouble with eating so few is to get all of your nutrients so if you stay at 1200 make sure you're getting enough protein, good fats, and veggies.
I have my calories set at 1470 and I'm 5'4". I find that this keeps me full and satisfied and I haven't gained anything since going up from 1200. If you were eating significantly more than 1200 before then you might want to go up a tad just so it's more sustainable.0 -
Thanks Amber. I'm a little low in general on my fat and carbs and over on protein. Overall, I'm happy with my intake. Just a little startled that I seemed to have lost so quickly. I will weigh in officially on Sunday so we will see:)0

Don't worry about being over on protein; mfp sets your protein level pretty low and most people actually recommend eating a little over what they tell you. Good luck!0
