I didn't realize how hard it would be.

So I just did The 100 workout which is:
100 jumping jacks
90 crunches
80 squats
70 leg lifts
60 jumping jacks
50 crunches
40 squats
30 leg lifts
20 jumping jacks
Then running for 10 mins
I got to the first set of squats and couldn't go any farther . Even the jumping jacks were hard!! Will it get easier or is it going to always be this hard?
I need some hope that I can get through this!!

When I started doing aerobics I couldn't walk for 2 days after the class. After going 4 times, I was fine. Then when I started circuits, again, could barely get out of bed for the next 2 days. Now I do it twice a week and am fine.

You will absolutely get used to it, and come to enjoy it.

It gets easier, but may I suggest starting out with something a little less intense? If you do that workout after you have been sedentary for a long time, you are almost ensuring that you are going to get hurt by pulling a muscle or something. It took me weeks just to be able to run 10 minutes straight without being in pain. The more you ease into a workout plan, the more likely you are to stick with it.

Although, this sounds like a cool workout, I may have to try it sometime soon!

This sounds like a great workout for when you're travelling or something.

Are you working out as a beginner? Thats one heck of a leg blast if you are! Yikes! Maybe tone it down a bit and work yourself up??

It'll get better but you need to train your muscle. Work it out and let it recover, repeat. Not kill it!? I would worry about injuries or even worse, not liking the workout and giving up? :(

Enjoy a protein shake and let your legs rest for a few days. :flowerforyou: Try again, just less intense!

I started small with 20 minutes a day on a bike with light resistence, three times a week. I found this really challenging as I had never been an active person. But with persistence, after about a month I worked myself up to 20 minutes on the cross trainer/20 minutes on the bike and eventually started group fitness classes. After I did one bodystep class I realised what I was capable of achieving and just could't get enough...mind you, i hurt for days and days after. Now I do 3 classes at the gym (RPM, Step, pump) and two days of kick boxing a week and I absolutely love it!! Sometimes after a class I will still feel sore (it's a challenge!), but when I hurt, it means I have worked for it :) and now I feel strong and confident!

My tip is to start small. You will love exercising in no time! AND yes it gets easier :)

You did great. Just do as much as you can do. If you didn't finish it, you can work your way up. Your body can take more than you realize. Sore muscles are normal. Just be sure to stretch them before and after you work out. Eventually you will be able to do this workout through more than once if you keep it up.

Oh hun! If you are just starting, do each set 10 times, not so many! If you start out doing that many, you will not be able to MOVE for a few days! Lol! I understand the "want" to go full force, but when your muscles aren't used to such an extreme start, you could really hurt yourself! Ease in, find your burn, then work yourself up from there. People tend to give up quicker when they hurt or over-work themselves right out of the starting gate.

Oh thanks!! Lol y'all all made me feel much better. I guess I didn't realize it was so much I actually found it off pinterest and thought I'd try it. I have 30 day shred but I let my mom use it and figured I would try something else whil I waited for that back.

It hurt pretty bad but I didn't want to give up so I kept trying, but I am going to tone it down and start slower an maybe in a few months I'll be able to finish this one :)
