right before you all ask, i live in the UK, so therefor im only able to order a crosstrainer from Argos.

Ive been thinking last couple of months to buy a crosstrainer to have up in my room and go on it like twice a day or something! as i love the crosstrainers in my gym. (i have an excercise bike in my bedroom, but it gives me numb bum after 10 mins!!)

I really really want a crosstrainer! but just unsure of which kind to get? Ive read all reviews on them in Argos, and there all mixed reviews! Some say there too noisey (i need a quite one), some say there really cheap and flimsy and the pedals snap off etc.

Im looking for one under £150 - anyone brought one from Argos that they recommend?

if soo please send me the link :)

thanks in advanced x

There are other places you can order a crosstrainer from! JJB sells them and so does Amazon.co.uk!! I find Amazon really good for reviews as well! Be very carefull and try and find a buyers guide for them so you know exactly what sort you need and want!!

    Hope you find one!

Hiya - no recommendations from me I'm afraid but we got a half price rower today - they've got some decent names in their half price sale x

Just be careful with cross trainers, as the cheaper ones are quite flimsy. Dont expect to get one like you get in the gym, as they are the really expensive ones. How about some exercise DVD's? You can get loads, and it will keep it interesting (and much cheaper!!)

Some JJB and DW have then assembled for you too look at, and there are a few sales on.

Personally, I think they are all flimsy tat, and would break if I tried to use them.

Running and bodyweight circuits are free.

Just to add too, we've put the rower together and we're quite happy with it having both given it a test run. It was a York Aspire, it's not as smooth as an air resistance rower - but at 149 pound I wouldn't expect it to be perfect (and it is smooth enough, not juddery or sticking.) There are reviews on the Argos site to read if you're interested. Also people advise the calorie count is incorrect (you don't put in personal details so I don't see how it could be correct personally ;-)) but it didn't affect me (most of us have a rough idea what we'd burn on a rower/use an HRM/use MFP's calcs with a pinch of salt ;-) )

OH is 5 foot 10, and approx 13 stone, he was ok with it.

Good luck, hope you manage to grab a bargain!
