Is HRM FT4 ok to wear to swim laps?

I just bought an FT4 too, and the instructions stated that it was waterproof to 50m, and suitable for swimming use. Check the specifications page, IIRC, it was there.0

I'll have to look back through it to find what it actually says but I do remember a part in the booklet that says you should get the battery changed at a certain place because they will make sure after they do that it's done right so it continues to be waterproof.0
