Strange gaining muscle---hard to keep up with the scale.

I am running stairs and doing strengthing my arms and thats causing me to tone up .( I love the way it looks but) when I weigh myself I really havent lost anything according to the scale becaue of the muscle, however the way I look in the mirror and the way my clothes fit tell me different. So my question is how to I give my status on here to show progress in my weight when it looks like im gaining when Im not. Im just gaining muscle mmmmm

you could put your inches up in your signature or your bmi. I'm in the same boat as you. I've only lost 4 pounds but i've dropped two pant sizes and my bmi has gone from 24 to 20. I've stopped weighing myself altogether because i don't think the reading on the scale serves my purposes.0

Hi there! On your reports where you enter check in information you can add other measurements as well, waist, hips, bust, etc. If you track other measurements on a weekly basis you can show yourself your progress instead of relying on weight.... since unfortunately muscle weighs more than fat... it fortunately takes up less space and helps us burn more calories! Hope that helps0

You're not really gaining muscle. You already have muscle and when you work on toning them, they become active and require water to stay active. It's the water that's heavy but it will eventually stop offsetting the fat weight you lose as those same muscle absorb the surrounding fat stores.0
