Scales tend to be affected by gravity and temperature. Maybe you measured yourself full on one day and empty on the other?
If not then take 3 measurements on different days and compare if you see a huge difference.

Is it level? Need a new battery if it's digital? My digital one says im way lighter when the battery is dying. So disappointing .

As a big guy, your weight can fluctuate from 5-7 lbs during the day, but 10 is a little extreme. Make sure your scale is on a level, hard surface and in the same spot every time. Also, it's recommended that you only weigh yourself once a week, although most of us don't do that. I've got a couple of blogs that I've written about equipment measurements and weighing in. Feel free to browse those for additional info.
