At a mexican restaurant for dinner???? We go there all the time and I never know what to get that won't totally blow my day!!! Help!!!

    anything with grilled steak/chicken; grilled veggies; don't over due it on the chips. and if you want it to be as healthy as possible, order pico instead of salsa. pico is just the veggies chopped up, salsa's they add the sodium and sugar, etc.

    and no matter what you get, portion control -- some people on here suggest you box up half the meal when you get it just to control yourself -- as these places usually serve big helpings

    chicken fajitas no sour cream or cheese. I normally allow myself 1 tortilla, and then just eat the rest with a fork!

    I was in the same situation last week and discovered the best dish ever! I've been craving this ever since, Mahi Mahi fish tacos. It was simply chunks of fish in a tomato broth with some avocado and veggies on the side. Very very good, and super healthy. Hope you like fish.

    I usually get a taco salad. It is typically filled with more veggie's than anything. I don't usually eat the shell.

    regular tacos are around 200 cals each, plus some refried beans (hold the cheese).

    portion control!
