weighing myself

I have started my weight loss quest 2 1/2 weeks ago and decided to only weigh myself on Wednesdays instead of daily (as my wii fit requests) because I would get too disappointed in not seeing results daily. BUT, the last two weeks I would weigh myself on Wednesday and still gained over a pound both times. AUGH! This is so frustrating!

Usually people gain weight for 4 reasons:
1) Too much sodium, they're retaining water.
2) Not enough water intake, they're retaining water.
3) They weren't eating enough before, body was in starvation mode, now eating more and the body will gain weight for a bit and then lose it.
4) They've put their body into starvation mode by not eating enough and need to eat more to lose weight.
You can check your sodium intake the last 2 weeks and see if you went over 2500. If you went over a lot, you're retaining water. If you didn't drink enough water, you're retaining water.
It takes 3500 calories OVER what you're supposed to eat to make a pound of fat on your body. Since it's not likely you've been binging, most likely one of those 4 reasons listed is why you're gaining weight.
EAT YOUR EXERCISE CALS....
And if you're at the gym, those machines' amounts for cals burned seem to be about double what they should be for a smaller person (you'd be considered a smaller person) and about half what they should be for a large person. That might be one reason, you're burning more than you think.0 -
I usually weigh myself first thing Saturday morning. Then, I do a "free" day on Saturday, starting the diet again on Sunday. This works for me, so I just wanted to let you know.0

It's true that I definately have been struggling with even drinking one bottle of water a day! I'm slowly doing better and I find that putting a lemon wedge in my water helps me drink more. I also am in LOVE with salty foods. Top Ramen and flamming hot cheetos are probably my favorite foods of all time. haha, sounds gross, but it's so true. I've been tracking my sodium intake on here, because I know I'm bad at it, so we'll see if that helps. This is only my 3rd day on this site and I already love the food tracker!0
