I am trying to take notice to what presents eating issues for me. One problem is that I regularly wake up each day before 6AM.and go to bed by 10PM At breakfast I am FAMISHED. A bowl of cereal and fruit just don't really cut it. I usually need something that sticks to ribs like cream of wheat and scrambled eggs with fruit (grapefruit or oranges)
Lunch is being thought of by around 11am by 1:30pm if I haven't eaten yet I am again FAMISHED
Dinner is thought of by about 4pm and if I haven't eaten by 6:30 I am FAMISHED
Sweet Tooth is set off right after dinner........I tend to graze in the kitchen looking for a snack and whatever I choose it seems to not be enough Seems like it could be BOREDOM. Also I get that same feeling I got WAY BACK WHEN I smoked (smokefree 9 years) Feels like nerve endings are raw and if I don't get a snack I will go bonkers but still not satisfied after snack
****Activity Level*** At the moment I am not working out although in recent months when I did I was reallyyyyyyy hungry after my workouts.
I plan on beginning an exercise routine again within the next week. I am starting my new job (unemployed right now)on Monday and will be traveling between PA & NJ for 2 weeks 8AM-6PM which presents an eating issue for me.. Some say it does NOT matter what time you consume your food and others say don't eat after a certain time especially carbs

I think breakfast should be our biggest meal of the day and not dinner. So if you wake up famished and eat a big breakfast that is more protein based than carb-based, I bet that would set you up for the rest of the day so you aren't so famished around each other meal time.
The other thing is, not everyone can go a long time without eating. Maybe you need to carve out an afternoon snack to get you from your early lunch to your dinner. I have an afternoon snack that is about half the size of my lunch and dinner calorie-wise and it really helps, particularly as I have to eat lunch around noon (due to meetings) and often don't get dinner until 8. but even if I get dinner at 6pm, six hours is a long time to go without eating something, IMO.
With my meals and snacks, I'm eating every 3-4 hours and that works well for me.0 -
You need protein incorporated in your meals to help sustain you, and snacks aren't bad! incorporate a protein with a carb for a snack, like a healthy cracker and low fat cheese. This will keep you going until lunch or dinner. The problem with waiting until your famished is that your more likely to eat more. Have 5 small meals a day is an awesome way to lose weight!0
