iPod pedometer vs. MFP Calories lost

I use my ipod's pedometer when I'm walking. A lot of the time, the pedometer says that I've burned more calories than what MFP says. Which is more accurate? Is my iPod calculating how fast I'm walking and that is what is causing the difference?

Mine is the other way around. MFP always says I burned way more calories than my iPod pedometer says.0

MFP would be more accurate then the pedometer at this point.
The only way to get a true calorie estimation is to use an HRM.. that takes into account age, weight, height plus heart rate.0 -
Which app are you using? I'm trying to find a good one.0

I just have an older iPod nano. It has a pedometer in it.0
