You can go into tools and see your BMR (is that it?) It tells you how much your body is burning when doing nothing at all. Your MFL takes this into account then takes off calories and hence you get how many calories you can have each day. Sounds right to me though 1900. Mine is 1780. Good luck.0

How much weight do you have set to loose? Do you mean thats your resting calories 2000 odd? Are you active? So many things to look at for it. I would personally go with what its telling you to do. Adjust after a few weeks/months depending on how you are going. You are male? So I think males calories tend to be more than females? Mine is also sedatory where yours may be active. It really just depends on what you ahve put into the system.0

hmmmm. I am 5'4 and most days I eat over 2000 calories, working out 6 days a week.
I don't know how you could eat fewer than 1900 . . .0 -
I've set mine to 1900 a day. I'm around 240lbs and 5'11".
You're 50lbs heavier than me so you're going to need more (speaking averages).
Just try it at what MFP says then cut 100-200 calories if you're not losing weight. Or add 100-200 calories if you're feeling like you don't have enough energy.0 -
As you lose weight it's important now and then to go into your settings and resave everything. That makes MFP look at your current weight and recalculate your daily calories. You may need the 1900 for now. But you won't all the time. I was close to your weight when I started. By the time I got to goal MFP had dropped me all the way to 1300 to maintain the level of loss I wanted. Enjoy the cals while you have them. It's going to get tight later on.0

2328 is your resting BMR rate (I looked it up for you). So it should be around 1900 odd depending on how mcuh you have to loose/activeness etc,... You may want to go to goals again and reset it.0

Based on your info, your BMR is 2,333. So if you're sedentary, your caloric need to maintain your current weight according to this site's calculations is about 2,916. To lose 1lb a week you'd be at 2,416 per day NET; to lose 1.5lbs a week you'd be at 2,166 NET.0

:ohwell: :flowerforyou: LOL Im terrible at the calculations LOL...I would go through it again to be safe. I would also try for a while before judging if its a good amount for you or not. Good luck! Oh im also 292 lbs, feel free to add me as a friend if you like.0

I would give it a go. Its alot, but it may be what you need to loose weight. This isnt a drastic diet, just eating better and some exercise. Change of life so to speak. Give it a go and see how you go?0
