So I bought some frozen banana's and strawberries the other day, and was thinking about a smoothie today but realized I do not have any yogurt or OJ so how can I make a smoothie that is still healthy and yummy?

Do you have any milk? I use 1% milk or unsweetened Vanilla Almond milk in my smoothies.. and some ice. But if your Fruit is already frozen you may be able to forget the ice!

That should get you somewhere good!!

Try that.. it'll help blend up everything for you and if it's all frozen anyways then your set! I would say 1 cup - 1 1/2 cups of it.
I find that I need that extra liquid to get everything blended well.. You could use water too, to avoid the extra calories of another 1/2 cup of the almond milk. Depending on how many Cals you want to use.

    good luck, hope it's tasty!!
  • use low fat milk or almond milk if you have some

Thanks for posting this! I got a new Ninja blender for Christmas and don't have any yogurt or juice either... when I google smoothies... everything has one or the other. I'd like to try to make one today with frozen bananas, fresh strawberries, ice, and almond milk..... but not sure how to measure the ingedients....so I will guess at it.

How much did you end up using?
  • I hardly ever use yogurt. You really don't *need* it. As long as you have banana to sweeten it up.
