No Meat Mondays?

I have read that it is good to have No meat Mondays (or just one day a week with NO meat). I thought about trying it and using meat substitute, nuts, peanut butter, or eggs in place of meat that day. What do you think?

I think it's a great idea, but I'm a vegetarian soooo I might be biased, haha.
Really though, I promise you there's no harm in cutting out meat just one day of the week, especially if you make sure to replace it with things that are high enough in protein. Black beans are my savior - I use them in place of meat in tacos, salads, etc. They are high in calories though, so watch out for that.
Some of the meat substitutes are good, too, and they're usually enriched with all kinds of nutrients. I love the veggie ground beef the most - use it to make tacos or lasagna and I swear you can't taste a difference. My meat-eating friends can attest to that, seeing as they have to eat the things I cook with veggie meat and even they say they would've never known, haha.0 -
We actually just started this campaign here at work!! Meatless Mondays. I did it yesterday and plan to continue to do it for however long they do it here at work (it's easier when other people are doing it with you). I think it's a great idea, healthy for you and the enviorment.0
