Any bike commuters?

Hi all,

This may be a silly question, but I have been wondering about it for a while. My primary mode of transportation is a bike. My commute is about 5 miles each way, and it generally takes me between 20-25 minutes. Unless its raining, I bike. In the summer, I bike 5 days/week, in the winter 3-5 days/week.

My question is this: Do I count this commute as part of my exercise? If so, that means I am already 'working out' 40-50 minutes a day 5 days a week. It just doesn't feel like a workout to me anymore. I also do an hour long weight training class twice a week, but can't decide if I should try and incorporate more gym time into my schedule.

Thanks!

Whenever I bike commute (which I did not today because it's 29 degrees out right now), I log it as cardio. I log my walk to the train, too.

It should definitely be counted as cardio. Even if it's a slow moderate pace, it still matters.

I log mine in. I bike in the city, and i find i have a hard time figuring out whether it's "light" or "moderate" because of traffic lights, etc...
