What are your fav healthy and low cal snacks.. I'm looking for some more ideas. I am a very picky eater (not a fan of veggies except the starchy ones like corn and potatoes)

Here are some of mine:

All my favorite snacks are incredibly high in cals! haha

Well I guess if you're talking low cal, I've gotta go better'n peanut butter, one pizzelle, carrots, clementines, yogurt, and mini nilla wafers (the mini part makes it easier mentally)

    both ...lol
I get Crystal Farms light string cheese. It is 50 calories and I can eat it on the way to work or at my desk. Light string cheese is usually 50-75 calories, has some protein and is yummy. (I DO live in WI) and are generally 1 oz.

  • String cheese is lower in calories. The kind that I eat is 80 calories. My new favorite snack I just found is available at Target. It is by Simply Balanced and it is organic strawberry real fruit strips and it is only 45 calories!!! No fat, no saturated fat, no trans fat, 9g of sugars, 5mg of sodium and no artificial flavors or synthetic colors. Plus it is 10% daily of vitamin c. They are awesome.
  • turkey pepperonis dipped in salsa!! Put the pepperonis on a paper plat and pop them in the microwave for about 45 seconds. Let them sit a minute and they are crunchy like chips!

Air pop popcorn. Add about a tablespoon of olive oil and a lot of garlic powder and shake to coat. Add half a cup of shredded Parmesan cheese. YUM!!!
  • I will def. try the turkey peperoni "chips"!!! Sounds yummy!
I also like 1 Tbs. Peanut Butter (All Natural is best) smeared on a small whole grain tortilla, then pop in the microwave for about 20 seconds - Delish!

Berry salad- I put in whatever I found on salad but my favorite is strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries.
Cucumber and tomato drizzled with some balsamic vinegar and a touch of red wine vinegar.
    Smoked almonds

Another vote for Special K cracker chips and crackers. I counted out 27 of the cheddar flavor and had a huge pile.

The crackers are even better IMO!
  • I like a sugar free dark chocolate mousse cup (either Jell-O or Great Value) - 60 calories, no sugars, and it has a rich taste. If I want to "splurge", I make a parfait with two of the mousse cups and add some light whipped cream - layer it in a wine glass to make it seem more decadent. :) The parfait is 160 calories, 7g fat, 22g carbs and only 2g sugar - not too shabby for a fine dessert!

I eat quite a bit of fruit. My favorite is now cuties. They are so good and you can eat several! I also like bananas, apples, pears, or frozen cherries or berries. I also like nuts, string cheese or popcorn too. I am a big snacker, because I get hypoglycemic if I don't eat every few hours.
