Hi guys,
Just wondering how often you weigh in. My wii says everyday but I hear that's bad and your better to do it once a week. So just wondering how often do you weight yourself?

Once a week.
I like taking measurements instead.
Depends on what your goals are and how much you need to lose/gain.0 -
Once a week is the best option and to weigh yourself at the same time preferably morning. However... I am always curious as to how I'm progressing so always end up taking a sneaky peak through the week.
Measurements are supposed to be brilliant because you can lose 2lbs but lose inches! I just need to find a tape measure :P0 -
Local food store>aisle with tailoring stuff.
$2 maybe?0 -
I weigh myself throughout the week if I remember, but I only take it seriously on Wednesdays and Sundays. I have a lot of weight to lose so it's really cool to see how the week progresses.
I'm not obsessed, though. Sometimes I get onto the scale after dinner so I can see how much water/food weight difference between night and day.
To be honest, if the scale never budged, but I looked and felt better, I wouldn't care too much. However, I doubt 236lbs is healthy so I will keep on keeping on0 -
Thanks everyone,
I weighted myself once a week before I started MFP, I have 10lb to lose to get to where I wanna be& the wii said its best to weigh in every day. I think i'll do that but am off to do my measurements rite now.
Thanks guys x0 -
I weigh myself every morning before I get in the shower. Keeps me accountable.0

The scale can drive you crazy if you let it. I think once a week is sufficient. But if feel like you have been working out extra hard, or slipping back a little bit, checking in with the scale every now and then may help you keep on track.0

I have heard different things from different trainers... daily weekly, etc...
I weight probably too much. Almost every morning before I shower and night before I go to bed. The night weight in is more for me to "guess" what I will weigh in the morning. Usually it is 2 lbs less in the morning than at night.
I really need to not weigh so much, but I am OCD and cannot NOT look at a scale.0 -
i weigh myself almost every morning, i find i am more motiviated to stay on track during the day if i do. But i try not to weigh myself too much during the holidays because it always goes up...i wait for it to be over and then get back on schedule0
