Hey everyone!
Recently I started a workout group in my local Philly area (Philly runners group) and there have been quite a few people who have joined which is GREAT! However, this is the first time I've done something like this and i'm looking for a little advice about what you guys all think would make this group awesome and keep everyone coming back and get others to join as well.
Facts:
It's totally free
Its open to anyone
It's not just for People who run marathons, but also people who are looking to have workout buddies
The meetings are held different days so that everyone can come according to busy schedules
Any HELPFUL advice is greatly appreciated!!! Thanks Guys!

encourage all members to have a my fitness pal account so everyone can be encouraged when they arent able to meet in the days..
have one person each meet bring a new idea to the group, and most importantly dont give up!0 -
welcome here and hope you have a great day0

ok I can only give you 1 idea and that is because I'm a Marine veteran....
military theme event!!
Schedule an event at a local park, get a park map, make markers of each exercise you will do at that "station"
As a group, do 8 stretching and 8 warm up exercises
The group will run together to each station and perform an exercise.
flutter kicks
bear crawls
8 point pushups
mountain climbers
scissor kicks
star jumps
crunches
leg lifts
arm circles
P.O.W.'s
etc.....
end with a cool down
hope that gives you some ideas0 -

Maybe in the warmer months you could a family pot luck with games and events. I don't know how organized the group is but it would include the kids.0
