After a month of exercise 6 days a week (cardio and training) and eating within my calories, I've had a whole week of steady gains. One day I gained 3 pounds overnight!!!

I've truly stayed within my calorie goal every day, except one. I eat well. I don't put empty calories in my body... what could be going on? I can't imagine those 3 pounds I gained were muscle.... not overnight. :noway:

Any ideas / suggestions?

Take a week off from working out and eat more.
Judging by how much you want to lose and how little you eat coupled with overtraining...
    These things do happen.

Bump up calories to 1600 and take a week off from working out.
Trust me it will work itself out.

A fun to do...take a look at your calories eaten per day and subtract out your calories burned.
Chances are you are stunting your metabolism if your true net calories are below your BMR.

If this is the case you need to reevaluate your dietary numbers and regulate.

Google Fat to Fit Radio Tools.
Do the body fat tool "military"
Take that number to the BMR calories tool.

Youll see that because of your activity, you arent eating enough.

    Hope this helps!

This happened to me as well. Same exact thing. I was up about 7-8 pounds for NO REASON...i suspect i was simply constipated and unable to rid myself of the bulk.have you pooped recently?
  • Also try looking at how much water you're consuming. I know when I don't get enough I start retaining water causing me to "gain." If you're working out a lot especially you need LOTS of extra water. Try getting at least 10+ cups for the next few days and see if that helps a bit too! :)
