Hi All, i'm thinking about getting this DVD and wondered if it was any good. Is it low impact and does it give you a big burn? I need to find some more low impact dvd's.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Angel1066, I don't think I have that one. I don't know if you know this or not, but there's a Leslie Sansone group. I'm on the group, but I haven't been doing Leslie's workouts . I'm dong Billy's PT 24/7 program right now. Someone on that group probably have done the workout you are asking about. Here's the link to the group.

Leslie Sansone DVD's are really great. I have a few of them and will use them for some light activity, or any activity for that matter.

She is a bit religious, but I didn't notice it until someone pointed it out to me.

She incorporates arms and core work as well and you don't need a big area to workout in so for my 1 bedroom apt, it's perfect!
I recommend it, just to have.

Let me know if you get it and how you like it. :)

That one is actually my favorite. It's broken down into 5 - 1 mile walks which are 12 minutes each. You can walk all five or just however many you want. I have several of her DVD's, but I use that one the most.

This is one of my favorites too! I like the faster miles with the jogging boosts at the end and this one gives you that with every mile. It's definitely a workout (at least to me).

I did the 5 mile one the other day and burnt 570 cals (according to my Polar HRM). I am 182lbs and 5ft 4 if that's any help. You burn just over 100 cals per mile normally.

i did the 2 mile this morning and burned 256 calories. did 4 mile yesterday and burned 435 calories. as i workout in the morning before work, these are very convenient. infact i am considering not renewing my gym membership in april and rely on these workouts.

i love this dvd, especially the boost at the end of each mile where you jog for 2 minutes. its a great burn and I can definitely feel it in my legs. I cant do high impact exercises due to my knee and this is perfect for me :) I would definitely recommend this!

I just got the 5 Really Big Miles, her newest one and it's awesome! Very motivating and the music is great.
  • I have this one and really like it. I've done some of her other workouts on Ondemand, and this is by far my favorite. Mile one is a 15 min pace, with mostly walking, knee raises, step outs, and so on. I believe mile two uses the band that comes with the dvd. I like it because you're moving the whole time but still getting a slight toning workout on your arms. Mile 3 is faster paced, more like a 12 min mile, with a bit more moving and a boost. Mile 4 uses the band and incorporates some leg work, it is probably my least favorite just because I like doing the dvd for the walking and then usually do a seperate dvd for resistance training. Mile 5 is another 15 min pace. There is also a 5 min warm up, a 5 min cool down and a seperate stretching segment. The music isn't too current throughout, but is upbeat and fun.
