Fish is meat. Sorry had to say it.

LOL ... I always wonder why people often don't consider fish "meat". Fish are animals. Animals are meat. Therefore, fish are meat.

bok choy (i like to mix it with ground turkey or beef for some kickbutt lettuce wraps)
cucumbers (i snack on these constantly)
carrots (i roast them and put them on top of salads.. adds some serious flavor)
celery(go to snack with cream cheese)
zima yellow cherry tomatoes (they have a little bit of sweetness that can get rid of a sweet craving)
    spinach
luna chocolate dipped coconut bars (best bars ever)
lots of chicken, pork, and lean beef)
    cheese (mmmmm)
    greek yogurt
granola (tasty on top of greek yogurt)
    dunkin donuts coffee
    edamame (several bags)
    skinny cow ice cream treats
  • I have most of the foods in the lists above, but I also have Quark ( a very low fat cottage cheese) and for breakfast I make an egg white omelette with Quark, smoked salmon bits and spring onions. Yum!!!

My must haves are fresh veggies (my current obsession is kale), apples, low sodium tuna, eggs, soy milk, frozen berries, chicken breast, lean ground turkey, lean cuts of steak (or bison), pork loin, brown rice, whole grain pasta, sprouted-grain bread, canned chickpeas and other beans, fat free cottage cheese, fat free greek yogurt, oatbran, flaxseed, oatmeal, and of course coffee. Also never without my David's Tea!

P.S. I buy my meats from the local butcher shop and we also have excellent local honey, but I don't use honey often enough for it to be essential.

I forgot to add avocados too! I used to hate them but I found, as I often do with foods I dislike, it's all in the way you prepare them. Great smoothie recipe with avocado on my blog.

is there somthing special about purdue chicken? i dont get it.

I buy "Smart Chicken". It's vegetarian fed (as a chicken should be) and air chilled (less opportunity to spread bacteria amongst chickens).

I have recently discovered freeze-dried fruit! So easy and low-calorie.
individual size bags of nuts, dried fruit, chips
    shirataki noodles

    what are shirataki noodles?
i know rice noodles are awesome.

I love these noodles as a pasta replacement. There are a lot of easy and yummy recipes on the web using these!
