maybe try adding a hard boiled egg?
Eggs always seem to keep me much fuller.
I eat that with a homemade fruit and yogurt smoothie most mornings.0 -
I have one fried semi-soft egg, on top of one piece of wheat toast, no butter and 4 oz oj and coffee with skim milk. :drinker:0

I agree with the eggs. Canadian bacon, 1 egg, and fat free cheese on a sandwich thin. I have this at about 8 am and then I start to get hungry about 10:30 and have a small snack like kiwi or string cheese.0

Great value english muffins with egg canadian bacon and cheese have been doing well for me(200 calories a sandwich) . I eat that with my first bottle of water for the day, then if I start to get hungry between breakfast and lunch I have an 8 ounce glass of low sodium V8, just enough to take the edge off and only 50 calories, plus I'm getting some veggies into breakfast, which I'm normally not too good at.0

Hi
Instant oatmeal seems to stay with me longer. I love Kashi, but get ravenous a bit after eating.0 -
I use a meal replacement shake called Isagenix. It keeps me full for about 4 hours.0

One egg, one piece multigrain toast, 3 oz. lean ham. Oat bran cereal w/ berries most mornings, too. It's important to get some protein. Carbs alone digest too quickly and cause an insulin spike.0

The mention of canadian bacon (woohooo im Canadian haha!) made me rememeber....I also love Turkey Bacon!0

I eat a hard boiled egg & a piece of wheat toast. Today I had 2 hard boiled eggs and I feel really satisfied. I usually have a half of a peanut butter sandwich as a mid - morning snack. Some days I'm still hungry but it helps to eat some protein0
-
Try to add more protein. I usually have 2 strips of turkey bacon with my Kashi cereal. However, I've been told to try to eat every 3 hours to keep my body fueled. Usually I'll have a fruit and protein snack between each of my meals and try not to have anything after dinner.0

Cereal with milk never seems to keep me satisfied long either. I have my Kashi with yogurt and an apple. That seems to do the trick (probably the added fiber?). Protien is also more satisfying for me. You might try scrambling 1 egg w/1 egg white and veggies (spinach, onion, peppers, etc).0

1/4 cup steel-cut oats with 1 tablespoon almond butter, 2 tablespoons almond milk, and a dash of cinnamon - 260 calories and super filling.0

My go-to brekky is Greek yogurt with a few tablespoons of ground flaxseed. Usually with a piece of buttered whole-grain toast. The Greek yogurt has a lot of protein and keeps me full. I eat it at 6:00 A.M. and am good until lunchtime at 12:30.0

I skipped breakfast today for the first time in months as I had a leaky roof and started pulling everything out of the way in my bedroom. Im going to have some branflakes and fruit for my lunch instead as cant be bothered to have anything else :O)0

I normally have a two egg scramble with lots of veggies (onions, peppers, tomato, etc) topped with salsa, along with a slice of whole wheat bread, 4 oz coffee and skim milk. I'm good for a least a good 3-4 hours.0

Research shows that carbs in the morning make people hungrier throughout the day. My doctor recommends having a high protein meal for breakfast. Then you can have your kashi cereal for a snack. Oh and I have lost 15 lbs since December 5th.0

V8! Good Suggestion! - I'm trying to get more veggies in. - Thanks0 -
I add bananas in my cereal or have a bagel thin with the laughing cow cheese and some fruit and I'm full until around 1130am (lunch) and I eat breakfast around 8am.0

I either eat:
Chibani plain yogurt with truvia added - 1 cup (add a snack around 10am)
or
3 egg white omelet with a small amt of shredded cheese (salt and pepper to taste)
turkey bacon jenni-o 3 strips0 -

I second this. Protein in the morning is the way to go. That said, many people have an unrealistic expectation for how long a meal should keep them full. It is very reasonable to be hungry 2.5 to 3 hours after a meal and plan to have a snack between breakfast and lunch. If you eat breakfast at say, 7am. It is not reasonable to expect to remain full until lunch time.0 -
I'm hungry 2 hours later no matter whether I stuff myself with protein or eat a small bowl of cereal. So I have finally realized that I just need to plan on eating every 2-3 hours and ration my day's calories accordingly. Of course, I try to eat a variety of foods and try to avoid processed stuff.
Looks like you got a lot of suggestions - hope you find something that works for you!!!0 -
Arnold Sandwich thin
1 Fried Egg
2 Slices of Sweet Smoked Bacon
1 Slice of White American Cheese
1 tsp of honey mustard
(all ingredients are store brand except for bread)
270 Calories!
Did I mention you get to eat BACON????? unfortunately a staple I cannot take away from my life. I alternate this and Special K cereal for my mornings. I'm going to incorporate an egg "scramble too" Eggs, definetly hold me over.
I however eat breakfast anywhere from 5 am to 730 am...depending on what the schedule is that day.0 -
Cream of wheat0

I normally have a bowl of oatmeal and a hard boiled egg. The fiber from the oatmeal and the protein from the egg help keep me full.0

Mmm... Breakfast...
Eggs/tortillas:
I fry 1 whole wheat tortilla in a skillet with a little pam. Move it to a plate, then either fry two eggs, or 1/2C egg beaters. Put that on top of the tortilla. Pour 1/4 to 1/2 cup salsa in the skillet, with a little water. Heat up, then pour that over the eggs/tortilla. HEAVEN!!
Variations:
Fry some ham, add spinach to the salsa - green eggs and ham!!!
Peppers/onions go great.
A dollop of sour cream, or when I'm really splurging, some cheese on top.
Leftover steak or pork loin.
Turkey or chicken breast.
I can go for hours after this, and not feel hungry.
Good luck, and I hope this helps.0 -
Add some fruit to that-its a filler, good energy, vitamins and hardly any bad calories, also try hard boiled egg white.0
