Is it bad that...

I DO feel full after eating 1200 or slightly less calories a day? I see so many posts about how people are starving with 1200, but I honestly find it perfect for me. I'm not particularly overweight (5'7 150 pounds) and I workout (elliptical and weights) 5 times a week, sometimes classes on the same day of workouts, so sometimes I even have 500 calories left over for the day from workouts. I don't want to start seeing adverse side affects on my body because of my calorie goal, but I honestly feel fine with where I am at. Any input? Thanks.

I was netting under 1200 calories for several months thinking I was being healthy. I began to get sick and after a lot of blood tests it turned out that my body was releasing acid into my bloodstream and eating my muscles due to lack of nutrients. I was categorized as "malnourished" although I thought I felt normal. I had no idea I was killing myself. You might feel fine for now, but just be mindful that your body has to get its fuel from somewhere.0

Ah I knew it was too good to be true. I just don't know how to incorporate more meals into my day i already eat 3 meals and 2 snacks a day.0

Just add some things that are more calorie dense and don't eat diet or non-fat foods. Pistachios are really good!0

you don't need more meals at all, just more calorically dense foods
nuts
nut butters
oils
full fat dairy
avocados

makes sense now, i usually strive for the lowest calories for each meal but obviously that doesn't make sense now that i think about it. does anyone have any recommendations for good & healthy brands of pasta? thanks.0
