Sorry the spelling may be off...My friend is a dietician and she is always talking about her patients loose weight on the diet and lower their cholesterol. It is mostly fat free beans, fat free food choices and whole grains, rice, and veggies. Not a lot of meat but she swears I will loose weight and see my cholesterol drop significantly in 2-3 months. I quess the website has some free recipe ideas. I did not buy anything with it yet. I was going to borrow some of her CD's and check it out. I am eating less meat just the last couple days and trying to eat more fiber..."Fiber One frosted mini wheats with skim milk or vinilla lowfat yogart...

I have not tried it. Honestly I do not eat anything fat free. Large portion of my calories during the day comes from fat and I do not feel very good without adequate fat intake.

I am just wondering if that diet would be sustainable in the long run. Really I think the best diet is something you can live with for life and is fairly easy for you and the rest of your family to live with.

Everyone needs some fat in their diet. I eat a lot of whole grains, veggies, nuts, beans, and low fat or fat free dairy. I'm usually not close to the amount of fat the site recommends. But I do know that we need healthy fats for good skin and hair. I am a vegetarian, though. Plant based diets are healthy. Nuts and seeds are plants, and they have lots of healthy fats.

I agree with you most times I go over in fat but mostly good fat. I lost a ton of weight a year ago not counting fat but I ate the good stuff and the weight poured off without feeling too hungry. I find all those carbs make be so hungry. Thanks for the advice
