so this morning, as i was stretching before i jumped on the treadmill... i touched my toes.

i have not been able to do that in a LONG time!

i am so happy about this!!

    When I try to touch my toes, there is about 8-10" between my fingers and the ground. I've tried and tried to stretch but my hamstrings won't budge. Plus bending over like that can hurt my lower back at times, which makes trying to stretch even harder.

    just a bend-over hamstring stretch. if yours are that tight, have you thought of yoga? stretching being most of the workout might work for you. i started with about a foot (no pun intended) from my shoe. stretching every day pre-workout and losing the belly that was in the way are why i can do it now.

    i have back probs too - i just make sure to bend from the hip, keep the core tight and the spine straight, and roll up.

    Awesome, you rock MA:) So proud of you.! I found I can sit in the tub and shave my legs without having to do major calastenics (sp) and that is my NSV!
