    Breaking your leg shouldn't matter too horribly much; your body still needs the nutrients, especially if it's trying to repair itself and fight off infection. I'm no expert, but if I were in that situation, I would keep the daily goal the same it is normally and just realize I may not lose the 2 lbs/wk or whatever.

    As for moving/exercising, you can always look into doing chair exercises or upper body stuff for the interim. Boxing/punching from a chair, for example can help with cardio and there are always upper body strength exercises.

    thanks :) i just weighed myself and its saying ive lost a stone in weight? not sure how this is possible, but then again, I am not in work eating a muffin and large latte every morning and I have been keeping 1100-1500 cal a day, so must be working ;) wohoooo I will do upper body exercises thanks :)

    I hurt my knee and could not exercise for 3 weeks and still lost 1 1/2 lbs per week during that time. Just stick to your calories. They say that weight loss is 80% diet and 20% exercise.
