I am frustrated. I had one bad day this week. The rest of the week I was under my calories and I worked out every day. I am very very honest in my food diary so I know there wasn't days that I didnt log something. In a week I have gained 5.4 pounds. TMI:: I am thinking I may be getting my period, my body feels like it but my cycle is off because I gave birth 5 weeks ago today and I also just started the implanon so i am not sure how it will affect my cycle. Can my cycle cause me to gain weight like this? Or am I doing something else wrong?

period = water weight, try not to freak out. It could also be cause by additional sodium. Wait a few days and weight yourself again.0 -
All my adult life I've typically gained 3-5 lbs during TOM. Aren't hormones lovely?0

I wouldn't worry. Your body is still going through major adjustments. Give it time.0

I feel so lucky that I don't put on any weight at TOM
ooh and congrats on your lil bundle of joy0 -
I am staying focused here despite my body freaking out a little. I feel so much better then I used to so I know something is right....I just also know that I kicked butt working out and and that's whats frustrating haha.0

Don't feel bad- you aren't the only one...I have been under my calories everyday and worked out, but the scale has not budged. It is very frustrating. I'm impatient by nature though- this is only day 5 for me. So I will just keep at it and maybe I'll lose SOMETHING.0

Are you nursing? If you are, you might not be eating enough.
Edit to say congratulations on the baby!0 -

No I am not nursing. I am not able due to a lump removal surgery when I was 16.0 -
I know exactly what you're going through! I was freaking out after 2 weeks because I wasn't losing...I was gaining! I had been working out, eating well, and thought I was doing so well. Then, of course, I got my period. My cycle is never really normal, so I'm not always sure when I'm going to get it. Anyway, after it was done, I weighed myself again and saw progress! So just give it time. Being a woman can be such a *****!0

I was told not to start "working out" till after 6 weeks to give my body time to heal(with both of my kids). Maybe you are doing to much to soon?0

I spoke with my doctor who told me it was fine to start working out as long as I wasn't feeling pain or straining myself.I was told not to start "working out" till after 6 weeks to give my body time to heal(with both of my kids). Maybe you are doing to much to soon?0
