Have you read any books about fitness and/or nutrition that you found to be helpful? Can you share the title and author of the book and say how it was helpful to you/what you liked about it?

Lyle McDonald - Ultimate Diet 2.0
Gives a basic understanding of why foods affect us, how we get fat, etc. He also has a website, bodyrecomposition.com, where he blogs about nutrition, fat loss, weight gain, and training.0 -
Jackie Warner's "This Is Why You're Fat" is a good read,it tells the same as cacrat was describing in the Lyle McDonald book. She breaks it all down for you and also gives you exercises to do, along with some recipes you can use. She also has examples on how your meal regimend should go.0

Walter Willet, MD- Eat, Drink, and Be Healthy. Easy to read, and is based on a significant amount of scientific research. Talks about what you should be eating and why. Puts exercise at the base of the food pyramid, which I really like. I would highly recommend this book. It changed the way I viewed food.0

I have read tons and tons of nutrition and fitness books. The one that I found the VERY most helpful was the Eat Clean books by Tosca Reno and her cookbooks. Also Clean Eating magazine is very helpful as well.
I have probably read over 20 nutrition books and am subscribed to Self and Shape and Women's health.....yes I'm obsessed!
Hopefully one these days I'll run across the magic cure for weight loss!0 -
