I'm looking into getting one. Does anyone know the main differences between the FT4, FT7, and FT60? Thanks!

    Not sure - I have the FT60 and I love it. Had it 2 years. I had a 6 month break from it cos I was getting obsessive with it but I'm using it again now. I would recommend it. It does a fitness test, counts calories, you can set it to a weight loss, improve fitness or maintain fitness program and it will give you targets each week.

    Not 100% sure but I don't think the other two models do that. When I bought mine it also came with the FlowLink so I can upload the data onto the website and it stores everything. You can also compete in calorie burning challenges and things like that online with other members if you so wish.

    What are you specifically wanting to get out of a HRM?

    I have an FT4 and If I remember right the difference between the 4 and 7 is that the 4 only stores 10 training files and the 7 stores 100. Also the FT7 will show a fat burning zone and a fitness zone, while the FT4 shows if you are in your target zone or not. But from the reading I did, I think the fat burning zone on the FT7 is just a bit of a gimmick. I decided to get the FT4 because I didn't care to store 100 files vs 10 on the watch. I always enter the info on myfitnesspal right afterwards anyway.

    They both show time, duration of exericse, estimated calories burned, and heart rate.

    I don't know about the FT60. Good luck choosing. :D

    It seems like the ft60 is the most advanced, but of course it is more $$$. I need to decide if it is worth it or not. Here's the prices from Amazon:

    ft4 - $80
    ft7 - $76
    ft60 - $125

    I just bought and FT4 on Amazon for less than $50..... It should arrive Monday. Will let you know how it goes. My other HRM (cheap Sportline) finally broke after 9 months

    Shop around, I found it cheaper from other online retailers compared to Amazon UK and I got freebies with it too.

    I have the FT60 I got it on sale on amazon it ended up only being $80 compared to $140 or more. Shop around, good luck! I love mine.

    Just got my FT60 today from Amazon. Am going to do my fitness test tonight. Can't wait to see how it works! I went with the FT60 because of the extra features....but also because it seems to be one of the only ones you can change the batteries yourself without having to send it to Polar.

    I was given an FT7 for my B-Day last year. I don't mess with the training files and the zones. I have other software for that. As far dependability, accuracy, and funstionality I think it's great.

    Less than $50? That's awesome! Which one? It looks like the men's silver one is $49.99. Maybe I should go for that. I wonder if it is a lot bigger than a womens version???? I actually have small wrists, so I can't handle something huge....

    Heres the low down:
    FT4: Only holds 10 workouts, does not allow you to transfer data to your computer and tells you if your heart rate is in the zone, and calculates calories burned.

    FT7: Holds 100 workouts, allows you to upload data to your computer, tells you if you are in the fat burning VS fitness zone, and calculates calories burned.

    FT60:Holds 100 workouts, allows you to upload data to your computer, has a fitness test(VO2max, something needed if you are looking for an accurate calorie estimation), has a training program(weight loss, improve fitness, and improve endurance) tells you what zone you are in(1,2 or 3), tells you what percentage of calories are fat, tells you how long you are in each zone and how long you worked out.

    Last I checked the FT60 was only 119 on amazon.. but maybe prices went up. Keep checking back because I just bought an FT60 off amazon for 115.

    I purchased my FT60 after Christmas this year, I've used it 5 times now.. and I AM ADDICTED. I love that it gives you a fitness plan (ah-hem... I don't work out nearly enough), let's know you the zone(s) you should be in, and calculates the calories you burn. It literally just makes losing weight by counting food and exercise half mindless.

    I bought mine off of Amazon, I think it was $115 total. No regrets. Best $115 I've ever spent on myself.
