Good Afternoon Everyone!

I hope it's ok that I started this thread. I did not see one for today or did I miss it?

Tonight is my running night and I'm really excited about it. I plan to increase my distance tonight. I've already made arrangements with my husband but that is AFTER I take my little girl for a walk. She called me at work (with the help of my husband) and asked me to take her ....how could I say no? Anyways, it's a little more exercise for me and quality time with the kids so it's a win for us all.

Good luck to everyone and happy running!!!

No run today. I'm starting to miss it on my days off, but I know I'm not ready to run everyday. So, I'll wait til tomorrow and will also run F/S!

    Good afternoon:flowerforyou:

No running for me today. Today was a "rest" day. I accidentally spent 5 hours gardening. I completely lost track of time and was almost tardy for carpool.:embarassed:

I ran 5 miles today -- longest run since I hurt my ankle last month -- and NO PAIN! It was a great (NEW) run, I really enjoyed it! :flowerforyou:

Going to try for 6 on Friday....

Hope everyone is having a great day!

How did you hurt your ankle. I sprained mine about 5 weeks ago and haven't run since then but I am getting the itch. I want to try do a couple of miles tonight and them run with the running group tomorrow morning. I will let you know how it goes.

I think it was just over use. so I took about 2 weeks off and then started with a mile and every few days I went up 1/2 mile.

good luck, hope yours feels okay!

Hi y'all! 8.25 miles for me today! I felt great... ran it in 60 minutes. I'm trying to get my speed up. I'm going to run with a friend on Saturday and she's super fast (ran the Boston marathon in 3:10...!) so I don't want to slow her down!!!

I would not recommend it. This is what happens when you only garden once a year. There is so much work to do.

While I was outside working, my neighbor of 10 years told me I was looking "so trim and fit lately". I am mentioning this because currently I weigh the same thing I weighed when I started running two years ago.

Running has changed my body into a "trim and fit" body even at a weight that I previously did not look "trim and fit".

If you are struggling with the scale and weight loss, hang in there. I promise if you stick with it you will look and feel so much better even if your scale doesn't say what you'd like for it to say.

2 mile run, 1 mile walk for me. YAY for my dh running 2 miles!! He'll definitely be ready for the 5K!

YAY Kechie! Gotta love those compliments. I wore my fav shirt that says Athletes Run on it today and had someone tell me I really look like a fit athlete. Love that!

I finally managed to get myself out of bed this morning for 8 miles. It's been a few days and I was pretty tired, so I was worried I might not make it. Turns out, I felt great! I only took two short walking breaks instead of my normal 3.

Katie, way to go! It takes me a solid 90+ minutes to finish my 8 miles! You rock!:flowerforyou:

No run for me on May 20. Meant to get in a 7 miler, but had a late meeting at work then had friends over for dinner.

So, it is planned for today (May 21)! :flowerforyou:

It's been a struggle to get back into the groove. We had a couple of rounds of cold and flu at my house and it really set me back. I thought I would be able to pick up where I left off and actually did okay for a week, then I hit a wall.

For 5-20-09, I was able to run for 15 min. at a 10 min. pace and then another 3 min. after a two min. break. Fri. I'm hoping to do the full 18 min. @ 6.0 mph. Next week I'll start working back up. There's a 5K in Sept. that I'm hoping to run, but then I say that every year.

For all the new people, I'm doing a modified version of the Couch to 5K.
