Oatmeal in your smoothie?

Has anyone tried it? Apparently it's pretty good and helps make smoothies more filling. I've read people grinding the oats up in their blender first then adding their smoothie ingredients, but I've also come across a few recipes where you just throw the oats in with everything else and blend at the same time.

    I have that everyday in my smoothie! Yum! I started using oatmeal flour though because the Ninja wasn't grinding the oats as fine as I'd like. Here is my fav. recipe
    1/4 c. oats
    1 tbsp flax
    1 scoop protein powder (van or choc)
    1 tbsp peanut butter
    1 frozen banana
    1 cup water
    blend till smooth.
    serves 1
