It the weekend again :(

This is now the time when things for me usually fall apart. I like the weekends because it means I don't have to go to work and can have a lay in and catch up with housework, but it also means that I tend to go out into town and have lunch...and usually have choccie. Last night I was craving it!! My only solace is that the shop nearest me closes at 8pm, so if I can make it to then, I have no choice. But I have to go out later to get something for dinner...
I'm going to pre-do my diary so I can see what to eat, see if that helps...although it hasn't in the past, but I do have LOTS to do this weekend (clean bathroom, tidy bedroom, do dishes etc - I really let everything go over xmas and new year) so I'm hoping I can remain distracted...

i hear ya.. week days are fine, I am working, I am busy, no time to think about food/what to eat etc. Weekends are always where I have been known to binge. Some strategies I have been using to do this less
- don't deprive myself during the week, eat a reasonable number of calories whilst still in a deficit
- don't deprive myself on the weekend, make healthy choices and maybe be more flexible with the calorie target if I feel like it
- plan out what I'll eat for the day
- do a lot of working out
- stay busy, keep active0 -
Yep, this is exactly how I feel as well.
I do SO well during the week and then I feel like on the weekend it all comes crashing down....however, this is the first weekend that I have decided it's not going to be like that any more. It CAN'T BE! It just undoes all the really good work that I have done during the week.
BUT I know what you're saying when you have to go to the shop to buy stuff for dinner etc...I get this Magnetic pull straight to the Chocolate Aisle! I have pre-bought my food for the weekend this week, to try and stop that - i'm having a quiet weekend anyway and don't have to go anywhere, so im hoping that by having what I already need in the house, that the magnet won't pull me anywhere near a shop!0 -
I'm the complete opposite. I'm a writer, and as well as being freelance working in the evenings and at weekends I do a 40-hour week in the office. Whenever I'm at home working to my own schedule I'm fine, but in the office there are always temptations and moments when I want to eat just to cure the boredom and take a break from eight hours of constant, similar writing.
We're given chocolates to keep up morale, and colleagues constantly bring in cakes, sweets and crisps and offer them around. I find it hard to resist because I have a fear of missing out - the hardest part of my lifestyle change was convincing myself I didn't need to eat chocolates just because someone else would if I didn't! Don't have that problem at home - I simply don't buy the snacks, so they're not around to tempt me.0 -
I'm quite lucky at the moment as all the Boys in our office are on a "Biggest Loser" weight loss challenge....so where as I used to continually hear things like "Are we having McDonalds or KFC for lunch today?" I am now hearing "Why is there more Semi-Skim Milk rather than Skimmed? Can we order more Skimmed?"
It's definitley a welcome change....the Challenge is only till the end of March, so even though i'm not taking part, i'm hoping to lose what I can in the same time frame just cause they are all so motivated and there is less crap food flying round the office0 -

Haha! That's quite funny! In my office, when making a cup of tea, I quite often hear 'ugh, there's no more blue or green milk!' (For those not in UK - blue top milk is full fat, green top is semi and red top is skimmed.) But these guys are quite slim (young, not really think about potential fatness - lol!) anyway.0 -
Believe me, it's been the strangest week ever in the office this week....between all the milk chat and the constant sounds of "i'm hungry" being shouted from one side of the room to the other, it's been quite amusing! They all did a Mass Weigh In down at the local boots at the beginning of the week to measure weight and body fat and now the competition is on.
Some are doing healthy eating and excercise and some are trying the shake replacement meals, so it will be interesting to see the outcome of all the different types of weight loss!0
