Chicken tikka without sauce, plain rice. I find it dry and boring so usually just eat what I want since it's a treat I only have once every few months.

If you're worried about calories avoid creamy curries and fried entrees. However, it's your birthday, you should just relax and have whatever you want! :)

Try and avoid the curry with lots of sauce as they often contain cream and a lot of oil. Tomato based curries probably safer bet. You best bet though would be tandoori chicken, sheekh kebab or anything that they grill. Have that with the salad and sauces and if you fancy either plain rice or a chappati/roti (better than nana as its thinner but also made from wholemeal flower not plain flour). Hope that helps!

yes - go for tandoori stuff (chicken/fish/prawns) with plain basmati rice and maybe have a raita (yoghurt/mint) sauce to stop it from getting dry or a dhal (although sometimes they can add a lot of butter to that - you could ask them not to) but having said that it's your birthday - I'd have a cheat day personally and eat what I like! Happy birthday btw!
  • I think dhansak (sp) is a good curry to have :)
