Juice & Smoothie Help!

I would like to drinking a smoothie for breakfast each morning and a veggie juice for an afternoon snack. Can I make them in advance if I put them in a canning jar? And how long will they stay good for? I know that it's best to make the juice right before you are going to drink it because you don't want to lose the nutrients but I'm a teacher and that's just not possible.
My smoothie includes:
banana
steel oats & flax seed
greek yogurt
almonds
vanilla
My veggie juice includes:
sweet potato
carrot
and sometimes an apple or grapes

I think you're totally fine to put the veggie juice in a canning jar and have it for lunch the same day. As far as I know, the nutrient breakdown really only happens if exposed to oxygen or heat. I've made smoothies and kept them in the fridge for 2 days with no visible sign of breakdown or taste changes. You can also make them all at once and then freeze them (ensuring you leave at least an inch at the top of the container for expansion). Take one out the night before (letting it thaw in the fridge) and it's ready for the morning!
Both your recipes look STELLAR and so I'm pretty sure you've already thought of all this but maybe it will help someone so here are a few tips to consider:
- make sure your Greek yogurt is a LEGIT greek yogurt (with at least 18g of protein per serving and no added sugars). The market is inundated with companies trying to jump on the health band wagon and putting out "greek yogurts" that are actually no different than other yogurts!
- make sure your flax seed is "ground". Our bodies are not able to digest and break down whole flax seeds (we just poop them right out!).
- throw some spinach in your smoothie or your juice -- you can't taste it (promise!) and it gives you extra fiber/iron.
- fresh parsley also goes well with veggie juices
- if you're looking for a quick hit of nutrients but don't have a lot of time or a kitchen to work with (i.e. at work), I opt for the Vega Shake & Go Chocolate smoothie powder. A little pricey but SUPER high quality and easy to use.
Good luck!
