How would you describe your normal daily activities?

My daily activities (When I say I'm walking, I walk at a fast speed.): I wake up, do my daily routine, and head out the door. walk to the car, get driven to school. Get to school, walk in the building, walk down the hall, walk down the stairs to the first floor and walk down the hallway. I go to my classroom & sit there for 55 minutes or so. Then I go to my 2nd period. I walk down the hallway for about a minute and sit down. I stay there for around 55 minutes. 3rd period, I walk down the longest hallway in the school & go outside & enter another building (it's not that far, prob. 4 feet from the other building I just exited.) then I get to 3th period. Sit for around 50 minutes, occasionally get up to talk to the teacher, roughly a total of 5 minutes standing up. Then going to 4th period. Walk out the building & enter the other building then walk halfway in the longest hallway. Sit down for around 55 minutes. Then here's lunch. I walk the rest of the long hallway, take a right to the next hallway, walk around 25-30 feet and head up the stairs to the 2nd floor. Then I get my food, give it to my friends to share (I eat a healthy lunch at home), and walk around for around 20-25 minutes. Then I go to class. Depending on the person I'm with, I can be on the first floor or the second floor while the bell rings to go to 5th period. I'll say I'm on the second floor this time. I have to walk down the long hallway and out the building into the other one and down the stairs. I get to class and sit for 55 minutes. Then here comes 6th period! I walk out the door, up the stairs from the basement to the 3rd floor, then walk the really long hallway and down the short hallway, which is half as long as the long one) & into my classroom. I'd say I'm probably standing/walking for 5-10 minutes total of the period, and sitting for 45-50 minutes of the day. Then the bell rings and I go down to the 2nd floor & go home. I walk around 30 feet to the car & go home. Then I go get my dads lunch from the table and go back to the car and go give it to him. Then I go back home. This is where my laziness comes in. I get home, eat a small, healthy lunch, and lay/sit in bed most of the day until I sleep. But I get up to dance around in my room(not embarrassing), do a little bit of front flips in my room, & walk to the car to go pick up my dad from work. What would you say this is? Sorry this is soooooo long. >____<

How old are you? You sound like you are in high school, maybe? The younger you are, the more caloires you will generally need. It doesn't look like you need to lose weight. What is your goal? All these things should be factored in.

    I would use "Lightly active".

Good luck, and welcome. I'm also in the Seattle area.
  • I'd say you were lightly active as you tend to sit for the greater portion of the day. Look @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physical_activity_level

For me personally, I always say that I'm sedentary (even tho I work 30-40hrs a week in food service) because, other than that, i don't do very much and my body is definitely used to whatever activity that occurs during a normal working day. (Saturdays, for example, are always non-work days and typically I do absolutely nothing.)
