How many cals?

How many calories and carbs should i be having daily?

right now i'm weighing in at 229.5, i want to lose about 90-100 lbs.

i go to curves 3 days a week and burn at least 400 cals, then days i'm not at curves i do turbo jam vids (either 1/2 hour or 45 mins)

other then those workouts i'm not overly active, but don't sit still all day either. i have 2 young kids and we go play in the park, go for walks ect.

so my question is...what would be best for me?

  • The site will tell you that if you enter your info. You can choose between sedentary or active lifestyles - sounds like you may want to pick one level up from sedentary. That will give you your baseline calories.

    When you do exercise, enter the exercise in and the site will add additional calories you can then eat.

    When you input all of that info into your MFP profile, it should automatically calculate the correct number of calories for you.

    Does everyone follow that given amount? I've been eating non-stop for the past two days!!! I had been eating 1,000-1,200 a day but quit losing weight. I came here and it said to eat 1,500.
    After I did 30 minutes of aerobics it said I could eat 300 more!
    I can't possibly eat that much!
    Do you have any idea how much 'healthy food' it takes to add up to 1,800 calories???
    I'm stuffed already!!!
