How do YOU cheat?

I know this has probably been asked before but I didn't see it recently. What do you eat on your cheat days? Is there any food you absolutely can not give up? Do you ever try to create healthy versions of your cheat food?

I have always loved hamburgers and cheese fries! Any place I went I would try their cheese fries at least once! I recently tried recreating it and think I did well! But I still can't help but want my burger when I go out to eat!

For my calorie goal, I try to make sure I have a small surplus overall for the day. So I use 2X(BMR)

As far as what I eat, I choose whatever I have been craving.
My Spike Day staples are; Pizza, donuts, and ice cream. I have them every week, but then I fill in with cheesecake, cookies, fried chicken, or whatever has been on my mind during the week.

I also eat lots of healthy calories too, like fruit and oatmeal. The problem is if I eat too many "healthy calories" I'm way to full to get my 5K calories.

I have whatever it is I've been craving through the week. Today I'd planned on having a cheat/high calorie day and ended up at Five Guys and had a burger and an entire small order of fries topped off with some frozen yogurt. However, unless I miraculously become super hungry I may still end up under my calorie goal for the day (I had an exellent morning of exercise). We'll see. Sometimes I'll hit a buffet. Next weekend I'm getting together with some friends and my contribution will be fried macaroni and cheese (damn that Paula Dean lol). It all just depends:)

I eat whatever I've been craving for the week. Last night was my treat meal and I had tacos al pastor with refried beans and a few chips & salsa. It was so good, exactly what I'd been wanting and today I'm back to eating my normal clean eats.

A "cheat" is good for you mentally & physically. It keeps you sane because you get to eat what you're craving and don't end up binging on it later, and it gives your metabolism a boost switching up your calories every now and again.

I love cheese and nuts and could eat them all day long.

Today I had KFC, a mince pie and pizza which is quite bad even for a 'cheat' day! usually I don't have specific cheat days just eat whatever I fancy as long as it fits in my cal goals.
  • I eat about twice the portions of the food I usually have everyday.
  • I have a cheat meal once a month not an entire day. The last cheat meal I had was a filet mignon with a side of sweet potatoe fries.

I allow myself a few glasses of wine and some dark chocolate. It refreshes me and makes me motivated for the week ahead :)

Sounds like my kind of cheat! I'm having wine but I may have to break out some of that hidden dark chocolate! :)
