Do you believe in MULTI- tasking?

I want to believe that i can do this. Ive heard this ability its quite innate to most women. Unlike among male species who could only focus to one thing at a time..

My dad argues with me though that focus and concentration is a lot better than multitasking. He said that there is less stress and there are better results

Whats your notion about this?

he's probably right but at times i multi task without realising it, cooking dinner while talking on the phone while stopping my 2 yr old from jumping off the bunk bed and cracking his scull open while helping my daughter with homework while tidying up the house *phew* i would love to have an hour for everything and maybe if i was more organised i would but hey...

I multitask constantly. The ability to efficiently multitask is a very valuable life skill.

I couldnt do what I do if I didnt multitask! Its actually odd to me to just do one thing at a time. Im almost always juggling.

I would never be done with anything if not for multitasking. There is just not enough time in the day.
  • Thank you ladies :)

Just how many can you do at the same time? Ive noticed that i can do 2-3. Other than that i dont think i can function anymore. I admire those who can get away than 3.

    I can't really multi-task.

I'm a writer, and in order to carry out my work effectively I need quiet. I can't listen to music, and I can't sit in the lounge when my fiance's watching TV - I have to retreat to the office.

I also have a bad memory, so I'm constantly writing things down and keeping lists. I can't have one thing on my mind and then drift to another, because I'll undoubtedly forget the first.

I can just about manage using my computer for leisure and watching TV at the same time, but even then I find I drift away from understanding plot or seeing important parts of a show.
