Splurging

I definitely think that splurging is okay when done once a week. In fact, many weight loss experts recommend one splurge day a week in order to keep your metabolism burning lots of calories! So you can eat whatever you want one day each week and still lose weight. I have done it before.

My splurge day will be Saturday, which is also my weigh-in day. I will weigh-in in the morning, drink a gallon of water throughout the day (as I do every day), and eat no more than 2500 calories worth of food for that entire day. I think I would last through the week better if I was looking forward to a day of eating what I want.

Anyone else do anything like this, or want to join me? :tongue:

    I splurged last night... had a big, fat burger, a few kiltlifters (beer) and some shots of whiskey... back on track for another week :D

    Ha. If I were in a place where I could make my own food, or have a drink or two, I totally would... sadly, I'm stuck here in Afghanistan without parole until March. But then... it's on for sure! :D
