What speed is considered sprinting?

I mean, I know if differs from person to person, but generally what would be 'sprinting' speed on a treadmill?
I ask this because I'm trying to work out an interval training schedule that will work for me.
As it is currently, I generally run at 7-8 mph for 10-15 minutes before having to take a walking break. But anything 9+ feels like my short legs on my 4'11 frame are going to fall out from under me.
would 9+ then be considered sprinting?
If so I don't think I can keep up with it ._.
I really want to interval train. I just don't know what to set myself up with.

you don't have to run faster to do interval training. I usually run at 6.5mph, but when i do intervals i don't change the speed i change the incline. I run at 10.5 incline as long as i can at 6.5mph. I just think your settting yourself up to get hurt if your sprinting on a treadmill0

I always associated sprinting with running as fast as you can, not any set speed in particular.0

when I do intervals I go between walking 4 mph for 2 mins and running 7 mph for 2 mins and then repeat for about 30 mins total. You can do whatever speeds you want as long as you're changing it up and not staying at a static speed long enough for your body to get used to it.0

Yup yup. Sprinting is going all out as fast as you can. You can't maintain it for very long, no one can. It's not aerobic, its pure muscle strength (anerobic) exercise.0 -
Thanks you guys
I guess it is a little silly of a question now that I think of it;; Of course that'd be what sprinting is ._. my bad;;
I'll think up something, thanks again~0
