Since I've made a change for a healthier lifestyle, I've been keeping up with exercising 6 days a week for 30 minutes at least. I keep one rest day but lately, I've been feeling overwhelmed. If I don't exercise, I feel bad and sort of guilty. Even on the rest day, I want to. I feel like I'm heading down a wrong path with this mindset. I certainty don't want that. Anybody else dealt with this sort of situation?

  • I have done that you are a burnout you need to take a few days off, i did tthis recently watched my cals and didnt exercise for 5 days the weight starte dropping cause my body had time to catch up. no need to feel guilty unless your overduing on your calories
  • I feel the exact same way! I feel as if I'm a failure and all the weight is going to come back in a day LOL! But we need to realize we are not crazy and others feel the same way!

Yes! I exercise every day, I do a variety of strength training, cardio, and martial arts (and also walk during lunch). On days when I exercise a lot, I am sometimes exercising for 2-3 hours throughout the day. I've talked to my doctor as well as my personal trainer - both told me that I need to make sure I get in a rest day and may be exercising too much. However, I feel good, I'm not hurt or injured, and I enjoy the activity (and am eating plenty of food - I consistently am on target with my calorie goal after eating back exercise calories). I've been doing this for about 10 months and am completely healthy. My advice to you is to assess how you're feeling and how your diet is and maybe talk to your doctor. If you're feeling good and are healthy, keep it up!
