My name's Jeannie. Im 23, 240 lbs, the biggest Ive ever been. My sis in law has lost a hundred pounds through this though so I am confident. Can anyone make any suggestions for meals or excercise? Thanks, wish me luck!

    Welcome to MFP
This is an awesome site!! The people here are very supportive!
My tip would be 'portion control' eat most of the foods you like don't deprive yourself too much, but have some self control. Really its how much of the food your eating, for eg if your eating 2 sandwhiches for lunch every day cut back a little start wth 1 and half, just try to make small changes first and when you comfortable try to cut a bit more out, but keep an eye on the daily calorie intake. Try to eat the recommeded amount.
And lastly I cannot stress how important exercise is!!! Try to do a little every day, even if is not much the little you do all adds up.

    Wish you all the best!!!!

Hi! I'm Amy, and you and I are in the same boat. I am also 23, and also 240lbs. It's good to be nervous, because you can use that to fuel your ambition.
I used to be a member of MFP, but I haven't been here for awhile. If you want a weight-loss buddy, you can email me any time you want!
The people on this site are incredibly supportive, and any questions you have will be answered from many different perspectives.
And you don't need to worry about anyone coming on here and trying to make a mockery of any of us! Everyone on this site is total NO NONSENSE about what we are all here to achieve. We all pull together and help in every way we can.
